Cardiothoracic Surgery Locums Job in Virginia Seeking 24-Hour Call Coverage Starting mid-January 2026 + Ongoing

Jackson and Coker is partnered with a client in the Norfolk-Virginia Beach area that needs Cardiothoracic Surgery locum tenens assistance. The facility has one staffed Surgeon and is using locums to allow the provider to have regularly scheduled time off & vacation coverage. Look forward to ongoing coverage being needed that you will have the opportunity to consider before other non-credentialed options in the future.

Seeking 24-hour call coverage, 7A - 7A, on the following shifts :

Monday, January 19 at 7AM - Friday, January 23 at 5PM

Monday, January 26 at 7AM - Monday, February 2 at 7 AM

Monday, March 2 at 7AM - Monday, March 9 at 7AM

Monday, March 23 at 7AM - Monday, March 30 at 7AM

Details for Assignment :

Active + unrestricted Virginia license required

Board Certification required

Seeking CT Surgery 24-hour ED call coverage (will be required to round, do any emergent procedures, etc.)

One staffed CT Surgeon (will be covering while they're off)

Minimally Invasive Thoracic Surgery (VATS) experience / skill is preferred; Robotics are available while on assignment but not required

Seeing mid-low volumes currently and anticipate 3-5 cases per week, 1-2 per weekend

Epic EMR inpatient, Cerner outpatient, located in southeast Virginia, 295+ bed facility, not a designated trauma facility
