Commercial Carpenter

The primary responsibility of a Commercial Carpenter is to install metal studs used to create the framework for walls in commercial and industrial buildings. They will also be responsible for doors, hardware, acoustic ceilings, and hanging drywall.

In addition to their primary responsibility, Commercial Carpenters job duties typically include :

• Rolls out power cords and checks out tools and equipment needed for daily tasks.
• Inventories materials, tools, and equipment at the beginning and end of shift.
• Measures, cuts, assembles, and installs metal framing plumb & square.
• Builds walls, ceilings, and soffits using various sizes, gauge metal studs, and mechanical fasteners.
• Doors and Hardware
• Acoustic ceilings
• Hanging drywall
• Cleans up and stocks materials as required.
• Must know industrial standards.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00 / hr.
