Associate Manager, Family Office Security

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Family Office Security Associate Manager to oversee all aspects of security operations across multiple private residences, ensuring the safety and protection of principals, family members, guests, and property.
This position requires a discreet, highly organized professional who thrives in dynamic, fast-moving environments and can lead a team with precision and discretion.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in executive protection, residential security management, and relationship-building within high-net-worth or private family office settings.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and manage residential security teams, ensuring all personnel are trained, aligned, and performing at the highest standards.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with family office staff, vendors, and key partners to ensure seamless communication and coordination of security operations.
- Create, implement, and enforce comprehensive security protocols and risk mitigation strategies.
- Conduct regular assessments to identify vulnerabilities and establish corrective measures.
- Oversee real-time response to incidents, emergencies, or potential threats.
- Coordinate directly with local law enforcement, emergency services, and private security partners.
- Provide discreet personal protection services for family members as needed.
- Supervise vendor relationships and ensure adherence to SLAs and KPIs.
- Manage the design and deployment of security measures for new properties and temporary residences.
- Conduct training and drills to improve team readiness and emergency response.
- Maintain awareness of medical and emergency protocols, integrating these with existing security procedures.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in private family office , executive protection , or residential security management .Strong leadership skills with prior experience managing security personnel.Deep knowledge of access control, physical security systems , and emergency response planning .Excellent judgment, situational awareness, and calm decision-making under pressure.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.High level of physical fitness and the ability to perform protective tasks as required.Must be based in or near Los Angeles, CA .Preferred :
Former law enforcement, military, or private protection background.Certifications in Executive Protection, CPR / AED, First Aid , or similar.Familiarity with cyber-physical security integration and private household protocols .Compensation and Equity
Base Salary : $154,000 (non-negotiable)Bonus : 10% annual performance bonusEquity : $50,000 annual RSU award with quarterly vesting and no cliff (subject to performance multipliers)Work Environment
