Tax Accountant

Job Overview : Insight Global is seeking a Tax Accountant for a large logistics company local to Charlotte, NC. This individual is responsible for preparing transactional tax returns (sales, and use, annual reports / licenses, and tax regulations). They will be assisting the Manager, the Senior Director, the Director with other federal and state tax filings, as necessary. This is a hybrid position, reporting onsite in Charlotte, NC 3x / week.

Key Responsibilities :

• Prepare all monthly / quarterly / annual sales / use tax returns and associated journal entries / accounting
• Prepare Canadian GST / HST / PST / QST returns and associated journal entries / accounting
• Research sales / use tax issues and questions.
• Reconcile all sales / use tax accounts monthly
• Assist with the preparation of state income tax returns, state apportionment schedules, calculation of estimated payments, and related accounting
• Prepare Abandoned and Unclaimed property filings
• Prepare various railroad / payroll related returns (Federal Forms CT-1, 945A, DC-1, etc)
