ER RN Travel Job Details Location : Abilene, Texas (79606) – West Texas healthcare jobs Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse Unit : Emergency Department (ER) Start Date : November 10, 2025 End Date : February 9, 2026 Duration : 13-week nursing contract Shift : Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19 : 00 - 07 : 00) Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1700-$1820 Patient Ratios : 4 : 1 Orientation : 24 hours Flu Vaccine : Required (medical / religious exemptions accepted) COVID-19 Vaccine : Not required Emergency Room RN Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas or compact state Required certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC Experience with Allscripts charting system required; Altera experience preferred Must reside at least 150 miles from facility (travel nursing requirement) Resume and RN license in hand required for submission Ability to complete required labs within 72 hours of offer Community hospital or acute care experience preferred ER Nurse Responsibilities Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients Perform triage, initiate emergency interventions, and manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction / failure Administer blood products and emergency medications as needed Interpret and manage dysrhythmias; obtain and interpret 12-lead EKG / ECG Start and maintain IVs, perform phlebotomy, and apply isolation precautions Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory, physical therapy, pharmacy, and social services Accurately document patient care using Allscripts charting system Participate in self-scheduling and work six weekend shifts per six weeks Ready to take your ER nursing skills to the next level?
