Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist with ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification, BLS, and at least 2 years of experience, including familiarity with Siemens scanners.

Responsibilities

  • Work in an ambulatory and inpatient hospital imaging setting
  • Day shifts Monday through Friday from 7 : 30 AM to 4 : 00 PM
  • Performs MRI procedures under general supervision of a radiologist
  • Siemens scanner experience preferred
  • Performs high-quality MRI procedures according to protocol and in a timely manner
  • Educates and communicates with patients and families regarding the procedure
  • Screens patients and individuals for MRI safety before entering the department
  • Maintains equipment and work area to quality and cleanliness standards
  • Carribbean Blue scrubs required and must be purchased by the employee
  • No local travelers accepted within a 50-mile radius
  • Team environment with opportunities to serve as a preceptor and receive ongoing training
  • Responsible for accurate documentation and maintenance of medical imaging records
  • Must be prepared to take call if required by the department

    • Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years recent MRI technologist experience
  • Active ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT certification required
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
  • Active Texas license required if applicable
  • Cardiac MRI experience preferred
  • Must be able to work with newborn, pediatric, young adult, adult, and geriatric patient populations
  • Must provide two professional references for consideration
  • Flu vaccination required with no exemptions granted
