We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our Service Parts Cashing and Financials product team. In this role, you will serve as a key IT developer supporting several high-impact legacy products, including Ford's Part Billing and Inventory Cost Accounting systems. You will be responsible for direct customer interaction, product development, and the ongoing maintenance and support of critical business systems.
As part of a collaborative team, you will work alongside a Product Owner, Product Manager, and fellow Engineers to deliver innovative projects and features that support future key claims, returns, and order entry programs. This role also presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the expansion of global Part Supply and Logistics business initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in application delivery and software development tools
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with IBM Mainframe COBOL, JCL, DB2, IMS-DB, and IMS-DC
- 2+ years of experience working with scheduling and source control tools including CA7, Syncsort, SFTP, and Endevor
- 2+ years of experience creating effective systems documentation, including use cases, specifications, workflow diagrams, and architecture diagrams
- 2+ years of experience in analyzing and supporting business systems
- Strong understanding of systems architecture concepts
- Proven ability to consistently deliver high-quality work on time
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to defend and respond to internal audit requests
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of overall software engineering experience
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum product teams
- Background in financial systems, supply chain, or logistics environments
- Experience supporting global enterprise systems
- Familiarity with Part Billing or Inventory Cost Accounting systems
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders

This position is a salary grade 8.
This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $115,000-$192,900.
