Job Title : Electrical Engineer
Job Description
Join a dynamic team responsible for overseeing general facility maintenance and designing test-cells utilized for various component testing. This role offers a diverse and evolving work environment, providing excellent visibility to internal roles across different teams, fostering future career growth. The position requires someone with electrical knowledge to document building electrical schematics and contribute to test design, focusing on low to medium voltage. You will also work on creating wiring schematics for facility and PLC controls wiring, with a capability in PLC programming.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the design, development, and testing of electrical equipment, including machinery controls, wiring, and lighting.
- Review and approve the cost-effectiveness, reliability, and safety of design models.
- Discuss estimates for time and cost to complete projects with clients.
- Supervise the simulation and testing of machine / structure / system operation and monitor product quality.
- Direct and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
- Inspect completed installations and observe operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
- Mentor and coach team members to increase their engineering capabilities.
- Utilize CREO to design all electrical aspects of powertrain and component test systems.
- Utilize CREO Simulate to analyze designs to optimize durability and cost.
- Conduct or oversee formal design reviews.
- Perform needed analysis and initiate new ideas.
- Lead problem resolution and cost reduction activities.
- Create and check detailed prints for production.
- Obtain quotes, choose suppliers, and submit orders for components and systems.
- Manage projects with suppliers to meet quality, velocity, and cost targets.
- Support the assembly and build process of test systems.
- Perform risk and safety assessments (DFMEA, Safety Walks, Lock-Out Tag-Out).
- Create and update standards and processes for the team.
- Travel (10%) to product group customers, suppliers, and manufacturing facilities as required.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in engineering required.1-5 years of experience required.Electrical knowledge with an Electrical Engineering degree.CAD / CREO modeling (AutoCAD acceptable).Creativity, verbal and written communication skills.Analytical and problem-solving ability.Team player and detail-oriented.Strong leadership and mentoring skills.Critical thinking and innovative ideas.Advanced ability to perform detailed calculations for manufacturing, construction, and installation standards and specifications.Advanced ability to make sketches, engineering drawings, and common computations.Advanced ability to apply principles of electrical theory to engineering projects.Experience with computer applications and design software related to engineering.Additional Skills & Qualifications

This role is based in both lab and office settings, offering a wide breadth of experience by collaborating with mechanics, electricians, and engineers.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $47.00 / hr.
