Specialty Representative, Gastroenterology – Salt Lake City, UT
AbbVie is seeking a field‑based Specialty Representative in the Gastroenterology therapeutic area. The successful candidate will live within a reasonable distance of the primary city and will be hired at a level commensurate with experience. The territory includes all of Utah, Boise, ID, Southeast Idaho, south to St. George and surrounding areas.
Base pay range : $78,500.00 / yr – $192,500.00 / yr.

Responsibilities
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives to meet or exceed expectations.
- Create pre‑call plans using SMART objectives and execute post‑call evaluations to continuously improve sales performance.
- Proactively serve customer needs, build trusted relationships, and achieve win‑win agreements.
- Develop and execute call plans that achieve set metrics and optimize coverage and frequency.
- Build understanding of customer needs, territory market landscape, competitors, and product expertise; share intelligence with in‑field, brand, and sales managers.
- Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with health providers and maintain disease‑state experts and advocacy relationships to maximize brand performance.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy or business‑related field preferred; equivalent industry experience required.At least five (5) years of industry experience with three (3) or more years in the pharmaceutical / health / science sector; high school diploma / GED required.In‑depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge; strong business acumen and strategic thinking.Proven track record in selling and strong presentation skills; adaptable selling approach.Influencer and collaborative partnership builder; leads by example with positive behaviors.Documented leadership success in increased responsibility at district, region or organizational level.Preferred : sales success in comparable therapeutic areas; experience in physician / account based selling; English proficiency.Must satisfy all HCIR credentialing requirements and maintain a good standing; including background checks, drug screens, immunizations, fingerprinting, and licenses.Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a pre‑employment drug screening test; safe driving record.Ability to drive a personal or company vehicle, or powered material handling equipment.Benefits
