What We Do

Transamerica is organized into three distinct businesses. These include 1) World Financial Group, including Transamerica Financial Advisors, 2) Protection Solutions and Savings & Investments, comprised of life insurance, annuities, employee benefits, retirement plans, and Transamerica Investment Solutions, and 3) Financial Assets, which includes legacy blocks of long term care, universal life, and variable and fixed annuities. These are supported by Transamerica Corporate, which includes Finance, People and Places, General Counsel, Risk, Internal Audit, Strategy and Development, and Corporate Affairs, which covers Communications, Brand, and Government and Policy Affairs.

Job Description

Job Description Summary : Performs accounting, financial reporting and analysis functions. Responsible for applying financial analysis knowledge and judgment to activities that are moderately complex.

Responsibilities :

• Performs professional financial analysis work, which involves : extracting financial data from various accounting and information systems, compilation, consolidation and appropriate analysis of financial data.
• Understands the flow of information, financial systems, appropriate reporting tools and uses that knowledge to troubleshoot problems.
• Analyzes financial data and brings issues to the attention of the appropriate person.
• Develops financial reports / models for forecasting, trending and results analysis across multiple accounting frameworks.
• Determines appropriate methodology to prepare information for use by others.
• Perform financial analysis over financial results relative to peers and benchmarking studies.
• Participates in monthly management reporting processes to ensure accuracy of financial messaging of business performance relative to budget and strategic objectives.
• Interprets financial transactions and events for users who must make economic or business decisions.
• Identifies, participates and contributes ideas for success in relation to assigned work, projects or other process enhancements.
• Effectively applies fundamental concepts; works on assignments of moderate scope and complexity, with limited oversight; makes recommendations for changes to procedures, and performs varied work, requiring some originality or ingenuity.
• Responsible for adherence to the company's framework of internal controls.

Working Conditions :

The salary for this position generally ranges between $62,500 - $74,000 annually. Please note that the salary range is a good faith estimate for this position and actual starting pay is determined by several factors including qualifications, experience, geography, work location designation (in-office, hybrid, remote) and operational needs. Salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law. Additionally, this position is typically eligible for an Annual Bonus based on the Company Bonus Plan / Individual Performance and is at the Company's discretion.
