This is a full-time, in-office position in our headquarters office in North Charleston, South Carolina.
We are looking for a candidate who can become part of our ever-growing organization. The right fit will have a strong work ethic, positive attitude, focus on collaboration, and hunger to grow.
The Public Relations Associate role is to provide support to the Marketing Director directly, as well as support, engage with, and facilitate all PR endeavors for the firm.
Compensation : $50,000 - $55,000
Responsibilities :
Public Relations (PR) :
Assist with drafting and distributing press releases, media alerts, and thought leadership pieces.Assist with building and nurturing relationships with journalists, bloggers, and industry influencers.Respond to media inquiries and coordinate interviews with key personnel.Organize and manage PR events, such as press conferences or community outreach initiatives.Track and analyze media coverage and compile regular PR reports.Research and identify opportunities for media coverage in local and national outlets.Find sponsorship opportunities and represent the firm in person at all sponsored events.Content Writing & Development :
Research, write, and edit high-quality blog posts, articles, and website copy that aligns with SEODevelop compelling email campaigns, including newsletters and client communications.Create and execute email and text marketing campaignsCreate content for print and digital marketing materials, such as brochures and ads.Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm new content ideasPartner with attorneys and staff to gather insights for case studies, success stories, and FAQs.General Marketing Support :
Maintain a comprehensive marketing and content calendar to ensure timely execution.Assist with graphic design tasks or coordinate with designers to create visually appealing content.Monitor and analyze marketing performance metrics and provide actionable recommendations.Assist in competitive research to identify trends and areas of opportunity.Support internal communication efforts, such as team updates or company announcements.Manage relationships with external vendors, freelancers, or agencies as needed.Community Engagement & Brand Building
Represent the firm at community events or networking opportunities to build brand awareness.Schedule and attend all off-site, firm-sponsored events in person and coordinate any needed staff volunteers or specialized appearances by partners, executives, or other positions.Qualifications : Required :
Bachelor's Degree or higher in PR, Marketing, or a related fieldThree years or more of PR experienceDemonstrated portfolio of previous marketing materialsExperience in Event PlanningExceptional writing and editing skillsStrong verbal communication abilitiesPreferred :
