Job description

Waste Connections has an immediate opening for asafetyconscious Class ACDLDriverto join the team at our location in Hobart, Oklahoma.

Pay : $21 per hour

Shift : Monday through Friday, 6 : 30 AM start time. Working approximately 50 hours a week. May work some Saturdays as well.

Essential Functions :

  • Performs complete pre-trip and post-tripinspectionsincluding, but not limited to, checking tire pressure, fluid levels,safetyequipment, gauges and controls.
  • Courteously interacts with customers, dispatchers, and supervisors.
  • Completes required route / productivity sheets, Vehicle Condition Reports (VCRs) and other forms.
  • Performsdrivercheck-in procedures upon returning to the facility at the end of the day Follows allsafetypolicies and procedures as well as attend weeklysafetymeetings.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Valid Class A withair brakesendorsement
  • Must meet Waste ConnectionsDriverMVR Qualification Standards.
  • Ability to performphysicalrequirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) drug screen, background and motor vehicle records check and Department ofTransportationPhysical.
  • Must be able to read and fill out necessary paperwork completely.
  • Communicate clearly to customers,dispatcher, and supervisors.

    • Work Environment :

  • Work independently while driving transfer semi truck on route
  • Routes must be completed daily in all weather extremes including extreme hot or cold, wet or dry conditions
  • Work hours will vary by route.
