Ophthalmology Medical Director

A company is looking for a Senior Medical Director / Director, Clinical Development.

Key Responsibilities

Provide sponsor medical oversight for ophthalmology clinical trials

Monitor safety data and evaluate safety signals in collaboration with the clinical development team

Support site investigators and study teams in protocol implementation and provide ongoing medical guidance

Required Qualifications

Medical degree (MD, DO or equivalent with a specialization in Ophthalmology)

2-4 years of relevant experience in medical monitoring or drug safety within a CRO or pharmaceutical environment

Strong understanding of clinical trial design, methodology, and regulatory requirements

Knowledge of ophthalmic diseases and treatments

Familiarity with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines
