Team Care Rehab Inc. is looking for a part-time / PRN Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in the New Braunfels area at a local Assisted Living Facility.
Current caseload is 2x a week, 3 patients with room to grow if desired. Paying PRN rate at per visit.

- Job Requirements and Qualifications
- Graduate from an American Speech and Hearing Association accredited school of Speech Language Pathology
- Current licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of Texas.
- Must posses good communication skills and be able to relate professionally and positively to residents, residents family members, and facility staff.
- Must be capable of preforming the Essential Job Functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Must possess problem solving skills of the type and at a level necessary to accomplish this job.
- Responsibilities
- Meets the resident's goals and needs and provides quality care by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test result; determining speech-language pathology treatment plans in consultation with physicians and by prescription.
- Helps residents accomplish treatment plan and secures necessary assistive equipment / supplies for residents to facilitate independence
- Administers speech-language pathology treatments according to a treatment plan approved by the attending physician.
- Evaluates effects of speech-language pathology treatments by observing, noting, and evaluating resident's progress; providing medically necessary treatment plan modifications.
- Completes discharge planning by consulting with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other health care workers; contributing to resident care conferences.
- Assures continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by designing resident-specific maintenance programs; instructing residents, families, and / or caregivers in follow-up maintenance programs : recommending outpatient or home health follow-up programs.
- Documents resident care services by charting in resident and department records according to accepted regulatory, corporate, and professional guidelines.
- Records daily treatment charges per corporate procedures.
- Maintains resident confidence and protects nursing home operations by keeping information confidential.
- Protects residents and associates by adhering to facility infection-control policies and protocols.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with facility and department procedure, rules, and regulations.
- Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements; following manufacture's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs
- Secures equipment, adaptive devices, and supplies for residents to facilitate independence
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications and establishing personal networks.
- Develops and conducts in-service training programs for facility and staff
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studing existing and lew legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Pay : $46.00 - $51.00 per hour
