Job description

An opportunity is available for a dedicated professional seeking to make a meaningful impact in a K-12 educational setting. This role offers the chance to support students as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant, focusing on providing essential services that enhance student learning and development.

Qualifications :

  • Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
  • Relevant experience in school settings, particularly with K-12 students
  • Strong understanding of educational policies and therapy practices
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other healthcare professionals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Current certification and licensure to practice as a COTA

Responsibilities :

  • Deliver direct and indirect occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs
  • Collaborate with educators and staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom
  • Conduct assessments and develop personalized therapy plans
  • Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and student progress
  • Participate in meetings with multidisciplinary teams to discuss student needs and outcomes
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and best practices in therapy
