Therapeutic Radiation Technician - Responsibilities :

• Patient Treatment and Scheduling :

Treat approximately 15-25 patients per day in the clinic.

Perform warm-up procedures, normal treatment operations, and emergency procedures on the Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator, including Onboard Imaging operations and CBCT.

Perform imaging techniques including MV, KV, CBCT, Electron, 3D Conformal, IMRT, and VMAT SRBT / SRS procedures.

Perform CT treatment planning scans for treatment planning / tumor localization.

Deliver the prescribed therapeutic radiation dose for cancer treatment.

Use Electronic Medical Record Systems (ARIA) to maintain patient records and files.

Assist patients to and from the treatment room and transfer them to and from the treatment table as necessary, using transfer aids.

Take port / verification films as per departmental procedures.

Therapeutic Radiation Technician - Requirements :

Three (3) years of experience : Knowledge of overall characteristics and clinical relevance of radiation oncology treatment machines and equipment. Preferably Varian TrueBeam
