Overall Purpose of the Job

This position will support the US Department of Veterans Affairs Critical Staffing Program. The individual will represent International SOS Government Medical Services, Inc. and provide the following services : an experienced Gastroenterologist to diagnose and treat disorders of the digestive system, including the esophagus, stomach, intestines, liver, pancreas, and gallbladder. Responsibilities include performing diagnostic procedures, managing treatment plans, and providing patient education to improve gastrointestinal health.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders and diseases.
• Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures, including endoscopies and colonoscopies.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Provide patient education on disease prevention, lifestyle modifications, and management of gastrointestinal health.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient interactions and treatments.
• Stay updated on advancements in gastroenterology and participate in ongoing education and training.
• Complete required organizational compliance education, including client‑specified requirements for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies.
• Undertake additional duties as needed (non‑exhaustive list).
