The Registered Nurse Supervisor must have strong clinical and supervisory skills, as well as previous long-term care experience.
The Registered Nurse Supervisor has strong attention to detail, a positive attitude, good follow-through skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks are required.
The Registered Nurse Supervisor works as a team player with Nursing Staff to provide excellent clinical care and the Registered Nurse Supervisor must demonstrate a willingness to assist others.
*RN Nursing Supervisor Responsibilities*
· The RN Supervisor is accountable for the administrative, clinical, and professional development of facility personnel for the designated shift.
· The RN Supervisor coordinates, directs, and oversees all aspects of the delivery of nursing care.
· The RN Supervisor demonstrates competence in leadership and relevant clinical experience.
· The RN Supervisor collaborates with physicians and other health care professionals; complies with orders in a timely manner.
· The RN Supervisor conducts unit rounds, ensuring that clinical practices are delivered within the facility's established standards of care.
· The RN Supervisor maintains standards of care in accordance with regulatory agencies.
*RN Supervisor Qualifications*
· Current Registered Nurse License.
· RN must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· The RN Supervisor must have the ability to work as part of a team while managing multiple tasks in a safe and effective manner.
· The RN Supervisor must be courteous and professional with an exceptional "bedside manner" and have a high tolerance for working under pressure and handling critical situations
· The RN Supervisor must have the ability to effectively communicate with a diverse workforce and clientele through sound business decisions, diplomacy, and discretion.
