Overview

SRI's chemistry group is looking for an enthusiastic individual who has 5-10+ years of synthetic organic lab experience to join us. Our group is dynamic, taking on a variety of projects from traditional organic chemistry, small peptide synthesis (4-10 Amico acids) to surface chemistry of ferric nanoparticles to serve our government, academic and commercial clients. Thus, our unique environment provides this individual with an opportunity to learn, to grow as a chemist while carrying out projects with great societal impacts.

This is an on-site position located in Menlo Park.

Responsibilities

Synthesize, purify, scale up organic compounds.

• Characterize molecules for evaluation in ongoing research programs.
• Maintain laboratory notebook, participate in project meetings.
• Assist in care of laboratory equipment in addition to assisting in the coordination of the overall laboratory operations.

Qualifications

The salary for this position is : $48.38 / hr. Salary ranges will vary and are based on several factors, including geographic location, market competitiveness and equity amongst internal employees in similar roles. Positions may also qualify for SRI's Pay for Outstanding Performance program or the annual Performance Based Compensation program.
