Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER RN with a minimum of 5 years of experience and a WI or compact RN license for rotating day and mid shifts.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in the Emergency Department of an acute care hospital
  • Primary shifts are 12-hour days and mids, typically 09 : 00–21 : 30 and 11 : 00–23 : 30
  • Weekend and holiday coverage required
  • Expected to float to house supervisor duties and within the hospital as needed
  • Bedside shift reporting, AIDET communication, and hourly rounding are required practices
  • Willingness to train for house supervisor role based on weekend needs
  • Barcode medication scanning rate must be at or above 95% for contract extension eligibility
  • COVID-19 vaccine is not required
  • At least two references are required, one from a supervisor
  • Orientation includes up to 8 hours of module training
  • Cannot return to travel assignments at this facility for at least one year after a total of 52 weeks as a traveler
  • \n \n Requirements\n

  • Active WI or compact RN license required at time of consideration
  • Minimum of 5 years of RN experience required
  • Current AHA certifications : BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
  • Preferred : NIHSS, TNCC, charge, or house supervisory experience
  • First-time travelers will not be considered
  • Must not reside within a 60-mile radius of the facility
