Katz, Siegel and Maple (KSM) is a well-established, AV-rated Tampa Bay law firm located in Palm Harbor. We’re looking for an energetic, detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support our attorneys in a collaborative, down-to-earth environment. What you will do.

  • Manage attorney calendars, including scheduling meetings, depositions, mediations, and trials
  • Prepare, draft, edit, and format legal documents and correspondence in accordance with firm standards
  • Transcribe dictation and proofread documents with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Organize and prepare files, exhibits, and materials for depositions, mediations, and trial proceedings
  • Maintain case files and assist in tracking case progress using case management software
  • Coordinate communications with clients, courts, and opposing counsel in a professional and timely manner
  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Assist attorneys with other administrative duties as needed to support client service and case management
  • Schedule : Monday–Friday, 8 : 30 AM – 5 : 00 PM - in office

What we are looking for.

Experience :

  • Minimum of 1–3 years of experience as a Legal Assistant (required)
  • Civil litigation experience (required)
  • Construction defect experience (required)
  • Personal injury experience (required)
  • Technical Skills :

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Word, Outlook, Excel required)
  • Experience with case management software (required)
  • Experience with Caret (highly preferred)
  • Strong typing, formatting, and proofreading skills
  • Competencies and Attributes :

  • Ability to work independently, apply critical thinking skills, and exercise sound judgment
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Demonstrates integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism
  • Energetic, eager to learn, and able to adapt to changing priorities
  • Collaborative team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Education :

  • Associate’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
  • Paralegal certificate (highly preferred)
