Katz, Siegel and Maple (KSM) is a well-established, AV-rated Tampa Bay law firm located in Palm Harbor. We’re looking for an energetic, detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support our attorneys in a collaborative, down-to-earth environment. What you will do.
- Manage attorney calendars, including scheduling meetings, depositions, mediations, and trials
- Prepare, draft, edit, and format legal documents and correspondence in accordance with firm standards
- Transcribe dictation and proofread documents with accuracy and attention to detail
- Organize and prepare files, exhibits, and materials for depositions, mediations, and trial proceedings
- Maintain case files and assist in tracking case progress using case management software
- Coordinate communications with clients, courts, and opposing counsel in a professional and timely manner
- Prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Assist attorneys with other administrative duties as needed to support client service and case management
- Schedule : Monday–Friday, 8 : 30 AM – 5 : 00 PM - in office
What we are looking for.
Experience :
Minimum of 1–3 years of experience as a Legal Assistant (required)Civil litigation experience (required)Construction defect experience (required)Personal injury experience (required)Technical Skills :
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Word, Outlook, Excel required)Experience with case management software (required)Experience with Caret (highly preferred)Strong typing, formatting, and proofreading skillsCompetencies and Attributes :
Ability to work independently, apply critical thinking skills, and exercise sound judgmentStrong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple projectsExceptional attention to detailDemonstrates integrity, confidentiality, and professionalismEnergetic, eager to learn, and able to adapt to changing prioritiesCollaborative team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethicExcellent written and verbal communication skillsEducation :
