Job Title : QC Lab Technician

Job Location : Kingstree, SC, 29556

Duration : 3+ Months (High Chances of extension)

Payrate : $20 / hr on W2

Areas of Accountability / Responsibility

1. Must following all Standard Operating Procedures, Job Safety Analyses, and Work Instructions as written.

2. The planning. organization and the sharing of the workload as well as knowledge that is critical to department operation, with all team members is essential to the success of and thus an absolute requirement for all staff members.

3. Actively participate in shift changeover to relay pertinent information

4. Promote an inclusive, cooperative team environment through professional, diplomatic communication and actions.

5. Support company strategic initiatives such as 5S, DICI & Kaizen events.

6. Prepare samples and solutions for analysis using the following procedures :

a) QCL.00028-FAME mg per gram

b) QCL.00046-Fermentation Sample Prep Washed Cells

c) QCL.00029-Free Fatty Acid Determination

d) QCL.00082-Peroxide Value Determination

e) QCL.00090-Residual Solvents Determination by Headspace Analysis

f) QCL.00091-Determination of Phosphorous in Oils by ICP Spectrophotometer

g) QCL.00103-Residual Soap Determination

h) QCL.00119-Moisture in Oils Measurement (Vapor Pro)

i) QCL.00147-Lovibond Color by Automated Colorimeter

j) QCL.00071-Out of Specification Investigation

7. Accurately record and report data

8. Maintains Good Documentation Practices as per cGMP.

9. Performs tasks and analyses according to standard operating procedures and note any deviations from procedure

10. Maintains lab reagents and consumables inventory

11. Manages hazardous waste streams from generation in the quality lab to accumulation storage location.

12. New hires to this position shall complete RCRA Hazardous Waste training within six (6) months of onboarding.

13. RCRA Hazardous Waste training shall be completed annually after initial training.

14. Demonstrates ability to use appropriate tools and skills to complete assigned tasks

15. Independently executes directions from management

16. Demonstrates proficient verbal, written and computer skills

17. Executes other duties as assigned by management

18. Report any quality deviations or non-conformances that are observed

19. Support routine Quality talks / briefings with staff to raise Quality awareness

20. Has the authority to intervene in the event of a quality or safety protocol concern
