Oracle Corporate Architecture Position
The core mission of Oracle's Corporate Architecture group is to set and enforce direction in product architecture and related standards for a wide variety of functional areas, including security, use of Oracle's core technology stack throughout the product portfolio, accessibility, and intellectual property strategy and compliance. Among other functions, the Corporate Architecture group approves the use of all third party technology in Oracle Products, access to Oracle's network and to product source code, open source releases, and commercial inbound license agreements.
This position will have a variety of responsibilities involving both business and technical oversight and enforcement of Oracle policy across the organization. Some particular areas of responsibility will include :
The ideal candidate for this position would be either a developer with substantial contracts management experience, or a business operations manager or attorney with enough technical depth and experience to readily understand both the details of proposed technological solutions and their implications vis vis security, licensing and competitive issues.
Responsibilities include specifying, designing and implementing major changes to existing software architecture, defining project needs, building and executing unit tests and unit test plans, and communicating with QA and porting engineering to ensure consistency, testability and portability across products in general.
