What You'll Do :

Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.

Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter potential threats or unauthorized activity.

Monitor entrances, exits, and designated areas to help to deter suspicious behavior and contribute to a secure environment.

Assist with access control procedures, verifying identification and / or credentials as required by site policies.

Prepare detailed written reports on incidents, observations, and activities during the shift.

Collaborate and communicate with Allied Universal team members, local law enforcement, and / or emergency services as needed.

Remain alert to surroundings and promptly address any security-related concerns or unusual circumstances within the educational environment.

Minimum Requirements :

Be at least 21 years of age.

Experience in access control and / or badge systems is preferred.

Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.

Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
