    • \n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n \n

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Missouri or compact state)\n
  • BLS Certification required prior to first shift\n
  • ACLS Certification required prior to first shift\n
  • Minimum of 2 years bedside clinical experience in a Med / Surg setting\n
  • Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills\n
  • Experience supervising Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) preferred\n

    • \n\nMed / Surg RN Responsibilities\n \n

  • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments for all patients within 8 hours of admission\n
  • Develop individualized care plans with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams\n
  • Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record\n
  • Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and discharge planning from admission\n
  • Communicate changes in patient status to care team members to ensure continuity and safety\n
  • Supervise and provide direction to LPNs, CNAs, and orientees\n
  • Promote patient and employee safety by following hospital policies and procedures\n
  • Contribute positively to unit teamwork and maintain a safe, efficient work environment\n
  • Assume charge nurse responsibilities as requested after orientation\n
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education\n
