1st Shift Production Technician - W&W Dairy

W&W Dairy Inc. located in Monroe, WI is hiring a production worker. W&W Dairy is a demanding, fast paced cheese processing facility. The person hired for this position will be trained to perform all of the different jobs in our Production Department. Job assignments will include operating a variety cheese packaging and processing equipment. First shift is 4am - 2pm. Role and Responsibilities Operating machinery and equipment including but not limited to filling and packaging machines, augers grinding equipment etc. Reading, understanding, and following standard operating procedures. Operating a forklift as required of a job assignment. Maintaining communication with supervisors, management, and other employees and notifying them of any problems and / or concerns that may affect production. Ensuring that all required paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible, and accurate manner and completed with all required information. Ensuring that all work is completed and documented in accordance with SOP’s. Utilizing a continuous improvement mindset and assisting in identifying opportunities to improve processes. Following Good Manufacturing Practices. Maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe work area. Following all required safe work practices, including but not limited to lockout-tagout, confined space safety, chemical handling, and electrical safety. Other duties as assigned. Required : A high school diploma or GED is preferred. 3 or more years of experience working in a food manufacturing plant preferred. Forklift operating experience is preferred. Candidates must possess solid mechanical skills and the ability to understand, operate, and troubleshoot production equipment. Must be able and willing to work all shifts and overtime, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Must be able and willing to work in a wet environment with moderate to high noise volume. Must be able and willing to effectively work in a team environment. Must have effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read, write and speak English and / or bilingual is preferred.
