Oracle DBA

Job Description: Competencies: Oracle DBA - 6-9+ years experience Role Description: 1. Oracle 11G12-19c RAC database support experience. 2. Oracle database support on AWS RDS, database creation, migration, upgrade, refresh. 3. Knowledge on snapshots, AWS database backups and monitoring, S3, CloudWatch. 4. Troubleshooting of cluster failures, ASM disk groups failures and DR related problem etc. 5. Configuring and managing high availability, RAC and ASM Administration and hands on experience working in cluster environment. 6. Implementation of Data Guard for database failover between Data center and DR site, perform switchover/failover activities. 7. Ability to perform both Oracle and also operating system performance monitoring and the necessary adjustments. 8. Sound knowledge of database performance tuning, Analyzing AWRASHADDM Reports and provide recommendations. 9. Experience in database upgrade, patching, cloning. 10. Implement quarterly released CPUPSUSPU patches for StandaloneHA databases and co-ordinate with Oracle for any bug-fixes. 11. Knowledge of RMAN, export backup and recovery scenarios. 12. Experience in DR Drill with exposure to various restore/recovery methods 13. Good knowledge of the Linux and AWS. 14. Knowledge on Database Server Capacity Monitoring 15. Must have hands-On Experience on OEM administration, maintenance and monitoring. 16. Troubleshooting Performance Problems in Oracle such as CPU utilization, Memory, IO, Temp tablespace, Slow running queries, blockings and deadlocks. 17. Solving issues related to Operating System, coordinating with Operations team. 18. Good knowledge of Unix Commands, Shell scripting. 19. Co-Ordination with Vendor and Other Support teams. 20. Monitoring and solving incident tickets, change requests and service calls in production support environment, adhering to SLAs. 1.Good to have DBA experience on other database technologies 2.Eg. Postgres, Redshift, DB2, MS SQL Server 3.Strong knowledge on Oracle database architecture and Hands-on Experience in Installation, Upgrade, Migration, Patching and administration of Oracle RAC databases, on-premises and AWS.
