Receiving Specialist - 1st Shift

Join our dynamic team as a Receiving Specialist where you will play a key role in managing the flow of goods within our warehouse. This position involves handling incoming deliveries, ensuring accurate inventory management, and operating forklifts to move products efficiently. You will work in a clean, climate-controlled environment, contributing to a well-established and tenured team.

Responsibilities

• Process and manage incoming deliveries, verifying quantities and product in a timely manner.
• Contact freight companies to schedule pickups through phone or digital portals.
• Receive, sort, label packages, and put them away in the warehouse.
• Consolidate inventory within the warehouse.
• Conduct spot and cycle counts of warehouse inventory.
• Execute quality checks and inspections as needed.
• Maintain clean organization of goods, paperwork, and work area.
• Continuously build job knowledge through execution of Standard Operating Procedures.
• Participate in team performance and improvement meetings.
• Observe all company policies.
• Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to load, unload, and move products.
• Utilize ERP system to check in shipments and track inventory.
• Perform inventory counts and troubleshoot inventory discrepancies.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Work Environment

Work the first shift from 8am-4 : 30pm, Monday to Friday, with mandatory overtime as needed. Saturdays may require work from 6am-12pm. The warehouse is adjacent to the production area, fostering a collaborative team culture. Dress code includes steel toe shoes, long pants, and a plain t-shirt, with safety glasses provided.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of RICHMOND, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
