Southern Transport, LLC was founded in 2006 with a single one-ton truck and gooseneck trailer, hauling local hot shot loads. Today, we've grown into a respected nationwide provider of heavy-haul, lifting, and freight services - built on reliability, quality, and pride in our equipment.

We're looking for an experienced Shop Mechanic to join our Kilgore, Texas team. The ideal candidate will have strong diesel engine experience, diagnostic capability, and a hands-on approach to maintaining and repairing our fleet of Class 8 trucks and trailers.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and rebuilds on Detroit 60 Series, CAT C15, Cummins ISX / X15, and Paccar MX13 engines.
• Utilize Insite, CAT ET, and comparable diagnostic software to identify and resolve performance issues.
• Service and replace consumable components, including tires, brakes, wheel seals, and other wear items.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and ABS wiring systems.
• Diagnose and correct Regen / aftertreatment system issues.
• Perform basic hydraulic system repairs (preferred).
• Maintain accurate service records and uphold safety and quality standards in all work performed.
