Cleveland Clinics Neurological Institute seeks a director for its Neuromuscular Center. The ideal candidate is a mid-career or senior neurologist with clinical expertise in neuromuscular medicine, demonstrated scholarship in clinically based or translational research, and managerial experience leading a professional group. The ideal candidate is committed to innovation to push the field of neuromuscular medicine forward. The candidate should have expertise in the specific area of nerve and muscle diseases as well as Board certification in Neurology and Neuromuscular Medicine and have proven success in running a busy EMG lab.
The Neuromuscular Center at Cleveland Clinic specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and research of neuromuscular disorders. The twenty neurologists in the Neuromuscular Center rely upon state-of-the-art investigational modalities, including ultrasound, autonomic testing, and skin biopsy histopathology. Research at the Neuromuscular center shapes the treatment of nerve and muscle conditions in the near and long-term future. There is a robust educational effort that includes medical student and resident training. The ACGME-accredited neuromuscular medicine fellowship program accommodates 3 trainees yearly.
The Neuromuscular Center and the EMG lab will be housed in a new state of the art 1 million square foot Neurological Institute Building schedule to open in 2027.
