Position Summary
Are you passionate about regulatory compliance and making a real impact in healthcare? Sonic Healthcare USA (SHUSA) is looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Compliance Specialist to join our corporate team in Dallas, Texas!
In this role, you will be at the heart of our compliance operations, supporting the day-to-day functions of our laboratory system's regulatory compliance and HIPAA program. You'll play a critical role in ensuring we uphold the highest standards of integrity and compliance in accordance with DHHS, CMS, and the Office of Inspector General's Compliance Program Guidance for Clinical Laboratories.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze various compliance processes and facilitate the routing and filing of compliance related business requests, forms, and contract documents
- Establish and manage systems designed to identify and mitigate risks.
- Simplify complex laws and regulatory requirements into clear guidance and processes.
- Function as the Administrator for Compliance software system(s)
- Manage, maintain and update corporate compliance minutes and records
- Participate in special projects
- Schedule / track sanction check database for corporate entity
- Prepare and timely send CMS or other regulatory filings,
- Assist with, and prepare Compliance reports, presentations, etc.
- Manage compliance calendars and events
- Push, track and report on training assignments as required
- Compiles quarterly data for Compliance Committee meetings
- Identifies opportunities and supports efforts to build a culture of compliance
- Strong ability to communicate effectively with company management of all organizational levels and functional counterparts
Educational Requirements / Certifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience desired.Qualifications
Certified paralegal with 2+ years experience preferred3-5 years legal, regulatory or compliance healthcare administrative experience desirableHIPAA / Health Care experience preferredAbility to work independently as well as interact with team members, leaders, executivesSkills / Competencies
