Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.)

Overview :

The Village at Mercy Creek, part of Franciscan Ministries, is a vibrant senior living community offering Assisted Living and a Memory Care Unit. We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated C.N.A.'s for part-time positions every other weekend to join our dynamic team!

Position Summary :

As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will play a crucial role in promoting the dignity, independence, and rights of our residents. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily activities, providing medication reminders, and facilitating social and spiritual engagements to enhance the quality of life for each resident.

Essential Functions, Key Duties, & Responsibilities :

• Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, following care plans and established community guidelines.
• Support residents with mobility needs, including lifting, transferring, and positioning.
• Contribute to dining services by assisting with setup, cleanup, meal delivery, and feeding as necessary.
• Monitor the physical and cognitive wellbeing of residents, promptly reporting any changes to nursing staff.
• Deliver nutritional supplements and assist residents with their intake, documenting as required by community policies.
• Engage residents in life enrichment activities to promote wellbeing and social interaction.
• Document resident care in a timely and accurate manner.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, ensuring adherence to all community policies and procedures.

Position Requirements :

Education : High School Diploma or GED

Licenses / Certifications : Certified Nursing Certification as required by state regulations

Experience : Preferably 1+ years of paid or volunteer experience working with seniors

Skills & Abilities :

Ability to demonstrate patience and compassion when working with the elderly.
