Certified Outpatient Coding Specialist

A company is looking for an Outpatient Coding Specialist (Radiation Oncology, OBS, Pathology, I&I).

Key Responsibilities

Provide CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM coding for various outpatient specialties

Recognize critical care cases and code surgical procedures in an ER setting

Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and maintain accuracy in code assignment

Required Qualifications

Certification through AAPC (CPC or COC) or AHIMA (CCS or CCS-P) is mandatory

Minimum of 6 months of on-the-job coding experience is required

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook

Familiarity with EMR and billing systems is necessary

Ability to maintain a productivity level and accuracy rate of 95% or higher
