Overview
Bond Manager – Birmingham, AL (Hybrid) at Old Republic Surety Company. This role leads the Birmingham, AL branch with confidence, strategy, and vision. You'll mentor top-tier talent, shape underwriting decisions, and drive growth in a high-performance, high-reward environment. You'll be the engine behind the branch's success, championing profitability and people development in a culture that values collaboration, integrity, and results.
Responsibilities
- Coach and develop a high-performing team, set profit and production goals, and make key underwriting decisions that strengthen the portfolio.
- Travel regularly across your territory to meet with agency partners, pursue new business, and represent Old Republic Surety Company at industry events.
- Prepare budgets, manage expenses, and use CRM software to track marketing and agency data.
- Staff, train, and cultivate a branch culture that reflects the company's values; lead with accountability, clarity, and confidence.
Qualifications
Minimum of five years—ideally seven or more—of proven success in underwriting, marketing, and production within the surety and fidelity space.Bachelor's degree.Ability to lead with accountability, clarity, and confidence; guide hiring decisions, performance reviews, and career development for your team.Strong ability to interpret market trends and use data to drive decision-making.Benefits
