Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with at least two years of trauma center experience and a CT or compact RN license.
Responsibilities
Work in the Operating Room of a large Level I Trauma CenterResponsible for adult and pediatric surgical patients, including trauma and specialty casesExpected to rotate between day, evening, and night shifts in six-week schedule blocksTypically assigned three 12-hour shifts per week, with schedule balancing between day and night shiftsRequired to take up to two on-call shifts per week, occasionally on non-scheduled daysWeekend shifts are requiredUse of Epic EMRMust circulate; scrub experience is highly preferredResponsibilities include circulating and, preferably, scrubbing for a wide range of surgical proceduresTeam-based environment in a busy academic medical center with robust trauma and specialty service linesMust complete assigned training modules prior to startingRoyal blue scrubs are requiredParking is available for $125 per monthAuto-approval for up to 7 days of requested time off; extended requests require approvalRequirements
Active CT or compact RN license, or proof of application prior to considerationMinimum of two years' recent Operating Room experience, including trauma cases at a large facilityCertifications required : BLS and ACLSMust be independent with all trauma cases, craniotomy, vascular, and endo-vascular proceduresRobotics and ortho experience strongly preferredEpic EMR experience preferredFlu vaccine required with no declinations acceptedCOVID-19 vaccination and booster required unless a religious or medical exemption is providedNot open to local candidates residing within 75 miles of the facilityReturning staff must have a minimum two-year separation to be eligibleBenefits
