As a Security Guard in East Saint Louis, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer in a transportation location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and provide a visible presence. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols and assisting individuals with outstanding customer service and clear communication. You will play a key role in fostering a secure environment for staff and visitors, upholding Allied Universal's values of integrity, teamwork, and putting people first. This unarmed patrol position offers the opportunity to make a difference daily while contributing to an innovative and reliable team.

What You'll Do :
Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sitesSupport operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and educationReceive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teamsDeliver consistent, professional security presence and customer serviceBe ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs ariseResponsibilities :
Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including participating in emergency response activities as appropriate.Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the transportation location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and address any issues as they arise.Observe and report incidents or suspicious activities, documenting relevant details for follow-up by Allied Universal and / or client representatives.Interact with the public, employees, and visitors to provide assistance and information, promoting a secure environment.Remain alert to surroundings, adapting to varying working conditions typically found in transportation settings.What We're Looking For :

Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.Must provide proof of a high school diploma or equivalent.Must be at least 21 years of age.Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and / or baton is preferred.Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us :
