Position Purpose : Responsible for multiple accounting functions including : paying claims, accounts payable, accounts receivable, maintaining daily & monthly bank accounts & cash balances, reconciling General Ledger accounts; and analyze financial data.

• Prepare and review journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and reclassification
• Assist in preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports
• Analyze account variance and provide explanations for fluctuations
• Support internal and external financial reporting
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and resolve discrepancies prior to close
• Maintain cash balances daily & reconcile bank accounts monthly
• Reconcile general ledger accounts
• Analyze financial data
• Provide audit assistance on financial, regulatory, and health plan audits
• Manage the accounts payable process including payment request and vendor setup
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Complies with all policies and standards

Education / Experience : Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience. 2+ years of accounting experience. License / Certification : CPA preferred.

Pay Range : $55,100.00 - $99,000.00 per year Centene offers a comprehensive benefits package including : competitive pay, health insurance, 401K and stock purchase plans, tuition reimbursement, paid time off plus holidays, and a flexible approach to work with remote, hybrid, field or office work schedules. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status. Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives. Benefits may be subject to program eligibility.
