POSITION OF EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO THE PRESIDENT & CEO

Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce

Pay Range : $40,000 - $50,000

The Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (FWHCC), established in 1973, is one of the oldest Hispanic chambers in the United States. Originally founded by Fort Worth minority business and community leaders seeking fair and inclusive economic representation, the Chamber has grown from 30 founding members to more than 850 business owners, professionals, and corporate partners.

FWHCC serves as a catalyst for Hispanic economic advancement through business seminars, professional development programs, strategic partnerships, and international trade promotion. The Chamber also leads the revitalization of the Historic Northside District and plays an active role in shaping policy and opportunity for Hispanic-owned businesses.

Position Summary

The Executive Assistant to the President & CEO is a critical member of the Chamber's executive office. This role provides high-level bilingual administrative support, coordinates internal and external operations, and ensures timely execution of strategic priorities.

This role goes beyond traditional administrative duties—serving as a gatekeeper, organizer, and trusted partner to the President & CEO. The Executive Assistant acts as a key liaison to the Board of Directors, community stakeholders, and internal departments to help drive operational excellence and mission impact.

The ideal candidate is a bilingual (Spanish / English), solutions-oriented professional with excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills, capable of supporting a dynamic leader and advancing the Chamber's mission every day. The individual must be proactive, take initiative, and be able to pivot as priorities shift. Flexibility and agility are essential in managing dynamic responsibilities while maintaining the Chamber's professional image. Trust and confidentiality are foundational to this role. The Executive Assistant will handle sensitive information daily and must demonstrate exceptional judgment, discretion, and a deep commitment to maintaining the confidence of the President & CEO, Board of Directors, and organizational partners.

Key Responsibilities

Executive & Strategic Support

  • Manage the President & CEO's calendar, travel, and communications.
  • Assist in preparing internal documents, board materials, talking points, and reports.
  • Translate documents and verbal communications between English and Spanish.
  • Assist in drafting professional correspondence, presentations, and executive updates.

Board & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as the liaison to the Board of Directors, coordinating logistics and tracking follow-ups.
  • Interface professionally with members, elected officials, community leaders, and corporate partners.
  • Assist in preparing briefing documents and background for external meetings and speaking engagements.
  • Operational Coordination

  • Track progress on organizational priorities, project timelines, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate internal workflows and cross-functional communication across departments.
  • Maintain and update executive files, databases, and confidential records.
  • Event & Community Support

  • Be available to work early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends to support events and engagements as needed.
  • Assist with setup and breakdown of events, including lifting and transporting event materials and equipment (may require physical effort).
  • Assist with Chamber events, including setup, registration, and execution.
  • Support member onboarding, retention, and CRM database accuracy.
  • Represent the Chamber at events and public functions as a welcoming and polished representative.
  • Required Qualifications

  • Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English (written and verbal).
  • Professional experience supporting an executive in a nonprofit, civic, or fast-paced business setting.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and Zoom.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting boards or senior leadership.
  • Familiarity with chambers of commerce or business advocacy organizations.
  • Comfort representing an organization to high-profile partners and public officials.
