About Feeding Westchester

For over 30 years, Feeding Westchester has been driven by a mission to put the needs of their neighbors first. They believe food is a fundamental right and collaborate to create solutions that address hunger.

Feeding Westchester is the central force driving hunger relief initiatives in Westchester County, working in tandem with 175 partners implementing 280 programs. Together, they distributed 21.6 million pounds of food and 18 million meals in 2024- 2025 alone. This is high-quality, nutritious food to improve the lives of their neighbors in need.

Feeding Westchester is also a proud member of the Feeding America network, comprised of over 200 food banks serving every state. Delivering nutritious food demands a robust infrastructure and precise coordination. They tackle food insecurity at its roots through a comprehensive study of the region’s hunger-relief systems, identification of gaps in support, navigation of complex government assistance programs, and elimination of barriers to accessing nutritious food and fresh produce. Through all of its efforts, Feeding Westchester emphasizes dignity and respect for all.

With over 250,000 neighbor visits each month, Feeding Westchester serves children, seniors, veterans, and hardworking families. They represent a rich tapestry of the community, coming from diverse backgrounds and walks of life. Feeding Westchester is nurturing hope, fostering resilience, and building a stronger, more compassionate community.

Feeding Westchester envisions a community where all people have access to the food they need today and the fundamental resources to build a better tomorrow.
