Registered Nurse – ICU

Unit Name : ICU

Requirements :

Must have a valid TN RN License or Compact RN License in good standing

Minimum 1 year of ICU experience

Certifications Required : BLS, ACLS

Must Have : Positive attitude, strong teamwork, effective problem-solving skills

Advanced Skills Needed :

Ventilator and sedation management

Medication titration

Procedures Performed on Unit :

Tracheostomy placement

Bronchoscopy

Cardioversion

Unit Specifics : Number of Beds : 16

Patient Ratios : 2 : 1

Unit Staffing : Tech support available

Type of Equipment : GE monitors, Nova glucometers, Pyxis medication dispensing, Dräger ventilators

Documentation System : Meditech

Scheduling Requirements : Every other weekend

Floating Policy : Floats in rotation with core staff and other travelers

Patient Experience Requirements : AIDET, communication board completion, medication teaching

Hospital Specifics : Certifications : Trauma Level III

Dress Code (Required) : Charcoal gray scrubs
