We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant with strong real estate accounting experience and proven Yardi expertise . In this role, you will be at the center of our ERP transition from Appfolio to Yardi, helping to design, implement, and optimize processes that ensure a smooth migration of financial data. You will manage a portfolio of properties, maintain accurate and timely financial reporting, and provide critical insights to management during and after the transition. This position offers the opportunity to shape our accounting systems, influence best practices, and have a direct impact on the growth and efficiency of our finance team.

What You'll Do :
Manage the full-cycle accounting process for a portfolio of properties using the Yardi Voyager platform.Oversee the monthly and year-end close procedures, including posting journal entries, preparing financial statements, and performing balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations.Utilize Yardi to process and track accounts payable and accounts receivable, and perform bank reconciliations.Assist with the preparation of annual operating budgets and cash flow re-forecasts in collaboration with property and asset management teams.Prepare schedules used in the preparation of Corporate tax returns.Process payments for taxes (real estate, personal property, etc.), insurance, and debt service.Conduct financial analysis, including variance reporting (actuals vs. budget), and present findings to senior management.Support acquisitions and dispositions by assisting with due diligence and onboarding new properties into Yardi.Provide training and support to junior accounting staff and property-level employees on Yardi functionality and best practices.Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency within the accounting function.What We're Looking For :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting.Experience :Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the real estate or property management industry.Proven, in-depth proficiency with Yardi software (Yardi Voyager preferred) is a non-negotiable requirement.Experience with other Yardi modules (e.g., RentCafe, Elevate, Cube) is a plus.Skills :Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Strong technical accounting, financial reporting, and analytical skills.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, complex formulas).Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment.Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a process-oriented mindset.The ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
