Job Summary and Responsibilities

Provides professional patient care and transportation in accordance with all departmental and St. Joseph Health System operating policies, city and state laws, and applicable contracts.

Essential Key Job Responsibilities

• Personal, crew, patient and bystander's safety : scene size up, emergency scenes are dynamic events; the paramedic should always look out first for their safety and then the safety of others.
• Patient Assessment and delivery of care : provides patient care functions according to protocol, procedure and written directives to level of certification. Performs a patient assessment throughout a call on every patient encountered, providing appropriate treatment and transportation decisions within the P2 scope of practice.
