Summary
Peto Rubber is a 50-year-old small privately held oilfield rubber manufacturer located in Joshua Texas. We are seeking a skilled on-site CNC Programmer to join our team at Petro Rubber. This employee will be responsible for writing programs and machining rubber molds. The CNC Programmer will work closely with engineers in developing specs for rubber molds. Must be proficient at G-code programming experience on both mill and lathe. Must be able to hold tight tolerances. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and able to work independently. We are looking for someone interested in a long-term career, where they can add value to the team in the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize CNC programs on Dosan CNC machines on site.
- Program and set up machines for operations including facing, OD turning, threading, boring, and milling of material as required.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions to determine the best machining practices.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, and feeds to maximize efficiency and part quality.
- Troubleshoot machine issues and make necessary program adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy and minimize scrap.
- Collaborate with machinists and engineers to improve processes.
- Maintain detailed documentation of CNC programs, setup instructions, and process improvements on the main server.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards (ISO 9001).
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum of 5 years of CNC programming experience.High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree in machining or a related field.Familiarity with CNC programming and G-code.Ability to diagnose and resolve machining issues effectively.High level of accuracy in programming and part inspection.Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with 1018, 1026, 304 & 306 material.Previous experience in an ISO 9001-compliant manufacturing setting.Work Environment
This position requires working in a manufacturing facility with exposure to moving machinery, noise, and occasional lifting of heavy materials. Proper safety equipment and procedures must be followed at all times.
