Salary Range : $19.00 - $25.00 Hourly

Mental Health Worker

Sierra Health and Wellness uses evidence-based methods to accomplish the restoration of families, relationships, and self-worth. By transforming the character, we give life back to the people who have lost it through substance abuse and mental health issues.

Our mental health inpatient facility houses 6 clients who receive specialized and personal care from our staff. This facility is adjacent to our 15-acre facility, located in scenic Bangor.

Positions available :

  • part time - PM 3pm-11 : 30, Thurs-Saturday

Essential Functions :

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.

  • Provides care to patients in a manner that promotes safety, comfort, and the therapeutic environment.
  • Assists patients with activities of daily living; attends to patient behavioral issues and provides assistance in crisis intervention, as needed.
  • Works with a multidisciplinary team in leading milieu activities such as current events groups, community meetings, life skills, and / or recreational activities, as appropriate to the specified population.
  • Charts patient observations, following policy and procedures requirements / mandates.
  • Participates in the development and implementation of treatment programs.
  • Maintains the confidentiality of patient and all records.
  • Transports patients to and from community appointments, clinics, labs, and / or treatments, as and when appropriate.
  • Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, and safety, environmental and infection control standards.
  • Document and utilize Electronic Medical Record.
  • Attend all mandatory staff meetings, group sessions, and in-service education.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • One year experience working directly with patients in a program serving people with mental illness.
  • Must possess High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Valid California Driver’s License
  • Current CPR certification
  • Current First Aid certification
  • Preferred :

  • Valid California Driver’s License
  • OG25
