JOB DESCRIPTION : Firmware Engineer

Location : Houston, TX (onsite)

We are seeking an experienced Firmware Engineer with 5–7 years of hands-on experience in the medical device industry to support the development and testing of Class III implantable device. This role involves embedded software development at the microprocessor level using C with a focus on low-power design to ensure long-term battery performance (10+ years). The ideal candidate will be responsible for both firmware coding and integration testing and should have a strong interest in verification and validation.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and maintain embedded firmware for implantable nerve stimulation devices
• Perform integration and verification testing of firmware
• Work with low-power architectures to meet strict battery life requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure device functionality and safety compliance

Required Skills :

Familiarity with Class III medical device standards and regulatory expectations
