About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Hours per Shift : 12

Experience : Minimum 2 years required, 5 years preferred

License : RN license required

Certifications : CPR, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, EKG, TNCC, PALS required

Must-Have :

• Ability to assess and reassess patients of all ages
• Proficient in airway management, pain management, cardiac monitoring, and invasive monitoring
• Experience with specialized procedures, IV therapy, and medication administration

Description :

Provides professional nursing care to assigned patients utilizing the nursing process.

Assesses and reassesses infants, children, adolescents, adults, and elderly patients.

Applies the nursing process as appropriate to both emergent and non-emergent situations.

Ensures optimal patient care by consulting with specialists as required.

Performs head-to-toe assessments and maintains accurate nursing documentation.

Treats patients and their families with respect and dignity while maintaining confidentiality.

Identifies and addresses the psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and spiritual needs of patients.

Functions as a patient advocate and develops individualized care plans with patient involvement.

Formulates teaching plans based on identified learning needs and evaluates effectiveness.

Supervises other health care staff involved in patient care and allocates work appropriately.

Assists physicians with procedures within the department.

Responds promptly to changes in workload to achieve productivity and efficiency.

Participates in performance improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes.

Functions as a preceptor to orient new employees.

Maintains operation of patient care equipment and ensures stock levels of supplies.

Demonstrates flexibility and organization in stressful situations.

Meets all departmental specific competencies and performs related duties as assigned.

Serves as a team leader and role model for other staff members.

Adheres to dress code and policies regarding infection control and safety.
