Shoreline and Marine Project Manager

Our client is seeking a seasoned Shoreline & Marine Project Manager to lead assessment, permitting, and mitigation efforts throughout Washington State. The role may be based out of Gig Harbor (preferred), Mount Vernon, or Mukilteo, with hybrid flexibility.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead shoreline and marine projects involving environmental assessment, permitting, and mitigation planning
• Manage and mentor field teams conducting shoreline, wetland, stream, and habitat assessments
• Prepare, submit, and manage environmental permit applications and documentation, including:
• JARPAs
• Shoreline permits
• Mitigation plans
• Interpret and apply key state and federal regulations, including:
• Shoreline Management Act
• Clean Water Act
• SEPA / NEPA
• Local critical area codes
• Develop and manage project scopes, budgets, and schedules to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery
• Collaborate closely with clients, regulatory agencies, and tribal governments to achieve project objectives
• Provide strategic guidance on land use, shoreline planning, and marine resource challenges
• Ensure regulatory compliance, internal standards, and approval of project invoices

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology, Planning, or a related field (required)
• 8+ years of experience in environmental consulting, permitting, or project management
• Direct experience with shoreline and/or marine projects strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of Washington State environmental laws and permitting processes
• Strong expertise in shoreline regulations, wetland and aquatic resource assessment, and mitigation planning
• Proven project management, organizational, and client communication skills

Compensation

• Salary range: $100,000 – $130,000 annually (commensurate with experience)
