Position Overview
The Technical Associate will operate, optimize, and maintain state-of-the-art production equipment while ensuring high-quality output and compliance with production standards. This role focuses on maximizing efficiency, preventing downtime, maintaining safety protocols, and supporting upstream and downstream operations.
Key Responsibilities
Operate, monitor, and optimize assigned production equipment.
Meet or exceed production goals while maintaining product quality.
Reduce equipment downtime and maintain budgeted waste levels.
Maintain accurate equipment logs, including downtime and maintenance details.
Perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
Start up equipment and ensure proper functioning.
Monitor component inventories and safety guards.
Maintain a clean, orderly production area.
Monitor in-process quality and address issues promptly.
Perform required quality control checks and process challenges.
Follow safety, environmental, and quality system procedures.
Support upstream and downstream operations.
Perform rework as required.
Work effectively in a team environment.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Maintenance repair / mechanical experience required.
At least 2 years mechanical experience preferred.
612 months manufacturing experience desired.
Experience with PLCs, hydraulics, and pneumatics desired.
Proficiency with basic hand tools.
Familiarity with mechanical components such as bushings, chain drives, conveyors, gearboxes, and ball valves.
Familiarity with electrical components including sensors, photo-eyes, scales, reed switches, and VFDs.
Ability to work independently and self-motivate.
Ability to work any shift.
Legible handwriting for documentation.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
Ability to work in a smoke-free production facility.
No false eyelashes, press-on fingernails, or jewelry (including dermals) allowed on the production floor; dermals must be covered.
Steel-toe, non-slip shoes required while on the production floor.
On-site presence required at least 4 days per week.
