6501 - Maintenance - ELTB - ELECTRIC TECHNICIAN B

TITLE : Electric Technician B

POSITION OBJECTIVE : The Electrical Technician is responsible for electrical, electronics, and maintenance of all equipment. Performs other duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Must have knowledge of basic industrial electrical components - relays, timers, contactors, proximity switches, etc.
• Must be able to read multimeters and amp meters.
• A background in industrial electronics and troubleshooting is required
• Experience with PLC controls and variable speed drives is preferred
• Basic computer knowledge
• Must have good communication skills
• Experience with PLC controls and variable speed drives is preferred
• Must be able and willing to work overtime, weekends and evenings as needed. Also must be able to work on-call as needed
• Must be able to read electrical schematics
• The ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings is a plus
• Can work with limited supervision (ie. night shift)
• Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary
• Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions
