Experience in pediatric oncology and hematology in an outpatient setting.

Experience with infusions for pediatric population.

Description :

Seeking a registered nurse specialized in pediatric infusion.

The position is located in an outpatient infusion center.

The facility operates a number of infusion rooms and procedure rooms.

Daily operations typically function at 50-60% capacity.

Patient types include those requiring infusions and treatments for hematology, oncology, neuro-oncology, gastrointestinal, and endocrine conditions.

The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 3.

Support within the department includes CNAs for rooming patients and vital sign checks, a receptionist, and charge nurses.

There is a dedicated IV and medication administration team available.

Respiratory therapy and hospitalist services are available 24 / 7.

Technology used includes an electronic medical record system, IV pumps, and monitoring equipment.

No floating to other units is required.

Schedule expectations include working 75% of holidays, with requested time off subject to manager approval.

Shift times may vary between departments.

Scheduled days during the week will vary, determined by departmental needs.

The department maintains a great team atmosphere.

Scrubs must be navy blue, with options for pediatric-friendly tops.
